February 21, 2023 - The Highway 652 extension to Highway 11 project is still in the Planning stage. The project team is continuing to collect information on the alignment alternatives, that were presented virtually at Public Information Centre (PIC) 1 from December 2021 to February 2022.
At this time, we are providing an additional opportunity for your input on the Highway 652 extension alignment alternatives. Your input will be considered during the evaluation of alternatives and selection of a preferred alignment for the Highway 652 extension. Please complete the Post PIC 1 - Alignment Alternatives Questionnaire under the Home page of the project website by Friday, April 28, 2023.
September 30, 2021 - A Notice of Study Commencement has been posted in the Cochrane Times-Post (in English and French) and distributed to property owners in the study area, Provincial and Federal Government Agencies, Municipalities, Indigenous communities, and stakeholders. At this time, the project team is gathering existing information about the study area.
December 2, 2021 - A Notice of Study Design Report Review Period and Online Public Information Centre 1 will be published in the Cochrane Times-Post (in English and French) on December 9th, 2021 and has been distributed to property owners in the study area, Provincial and Federal Government Agencies, Municipalities, Indigenous communities, and stakeholders.
December 2, 2021 - A business-owner survey is being conducted to collect information on industry types, seasonality of business operations, and reliance on traffic-based revenue for businesses. The survey is available at the following link: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/YWVGLZN until February 11th, 2022.
